Job Description
|
Design, code, test and implement technical solutions that fulfill the
business objectives for a mission critical NYSE trading floor system. This
person will be results oriented and able to lead in the creation of formal
design specifications. This individual will work within a small team of
developers, as well as integrating into a much larger development team is
required. Candidate will adhere to software process improvement
methodologies, including inspections and defect tracking.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must have an inÂdepth knowledge of Object Oriented analysis and
design methodologies as well as experience using relevant tools. Must have
five to six years experience with C++. Python programming experience or
extensive experience with numerous other OO compiled and interpreted
languages a must. Strong analytical skills a must. Broad knowledge of
computer architectures and a varied background in software and hardware
implementations needed.
Experience with the UML preferred. Web application knowledge, particularly,
Netscape's iPlanet, and Apache Web servers is beneficial. ModÂpython, and
Java a plus. Knowledge of the Stock Market and Wall Street trading systems
preferred.
